It was probebly sometime late last year when I was attempting to teach my then 2 1/2 year old about bones. I tried explaining to him that if he keeps jumping from high places in the crazy way that he still does then he can hurt or break his bones.

So then popped the question, "Mummy...what are bones?!?"

So I tried showing him pictures of x rays, making him feel through his skin by his joints and explained that the hard thing under his skin were his bones.

"Like dinosaur bones Mummy?!?"

"YES!!! That's it!! Like dinosaur bones!!!"

Now why didn't I think about attacking it from that angle before?? Lolz:p

So now he understood what bones were and how they can break, and why they are important.

Now the funny part!

My husband and I had spent all night that night putting our Friday night 'sugar rush' inflicted kids to sleep:p Friday is fun night at our home so they went to sleep at about 11:00pm after snacks and stories and jumping around:p

So finally it was about 12:00 midnight and the hubby and I were ready to clock in as well. And as soon as our heads hit the pillow, up popped our 2 1/2 year old like a little daisy in the spring, from what we THOUGHT was deep slumber, AND asked the funniest thing with the most pathetic little dough eyes:-

"Mummy...Daddy....do you have bones?!!?"

LOL! We will never forget that moment Inshaa Allah! We both just cracked up!! It was so hilarious:p

What a funny thing to be asked at 12:01 AM :p

I remember this from earlier in the school term:p

My son was learning about the human body at school and kept telling me that the heart pumps blood and that we have 'contestants' in our body.

"Contestants?"

So after 20 minutes of trying to convince me that "Yes!!! Miss said we have contestants in our body!"
I thought "Okay...he probebly knows what he's talking about...maybe...so let me go research this thing to see if we have something in our body called "contestants"....

After giving up and assuming that his teacher had lost her noodle, I don't know how I figrued it out, but i asked him if the word he really heard was 'intestines' maybe?!?! "

OH YEAH MUMMY!!!!!!! IT'S INTESTINES! THAT'S IT!"

LOL! The moment was sooo funny and I felt so silly for thinking we had 'contestants' in our bodies:p

It was the sweetest thing...:)

My little four year old went to masjid with his Daddy last night and refused to take off his jubba when he got home. He kept saying "I have to wear my jubba, I want to pray to Allah mummy!".

Aweee...:p

Now how could I say no to that?!?:p

He ended up falling asleep in his white jubba.

When he woke up this morning, he went straight to the cupboard to find his matching white topee:p hehe:p

And then my little cutie-pie muslim ate breakfast in a jubba and topee:p Lolz! It was just too adorable!
