Precious Moments & Simple Pleasures...
These are the moments that only a parent can truly ever understand. They are the moments that you always hear about, but can never truly appreciate until you have a little one to share it with... Here are my most precious moments and while overlooked by many, are still the simple pleasures that give so much meaning to life. Without these memories, the world would just never seem the same to a mom and dad who have experienced them...
#1:- Watching your little ones sleep so peacefully at night - Even if it only lasts a couple hours...seeing that peace and that calm and that innocence just makes the toils of the day well worth it in the end...
#2:- The smell of a newborn baby - especially after his first bath. It's a smell that you never forget from the minute you breathe it in...It gets on their clothes on their little pillows and on their blankets...The scent give you more of a 'feeling' rather than an aroma. It's almost a physical experience... mothers who have lost a child at birth or in infancy...they never forget this smell...this smell becomes an instant memory...and no matter how hard you shake it...it's very hard to forget or let go of...
#3:- Hearing your baby call you 'mama' for the very first time - this just melts your heart instantly...
#4:- Just after your baby is born and they put him/her on your chest...that gaze a mother and child exchanges is indescribable!! Those soft little eyes just gaze up at you into yours... so unaware, so new and oh so darling. It's just makes all the pain of birthing just disappear and forgotten!
#5:- When my kids tell me 'I love you mummy' everynight before they say their dua for sleep- It echos through my mind all night. Alhamdulillah....those sweet little voices with such sweet little words....:)
#6:- The 'pitter patter' of little toddler feet running down the hall/corridor - there is no sweeter sound...
#7:- The funny names your baby attributes to things he/she can't quite pronounce yet. Like "Woof woof" is a puppy. Or maybe "dirdeee" is a bird. Cuteeeeeeeeeee:p
MORE TO COME!!! Keep checking back!!!
