Simple Words, Powerful Meanings...
We hear many things throughout our lives. Many quotes, philosophies and ideas. Most people are not shy in letting others know what they believe...and as such we become swamped with billions of ideas as time goes by. But every now and then, there are those one or two quotes that just seem to stick in our minds. Philosophies on life that just make us stop and think, "Wow...now that was powerful!" Quotes that inspire us, ideas that motivate us and philosophies that help guide us towards becoming the kinds of people who not only respect these words, but live by them as well Inshaa Allah." When you find these words that inspire you, print them out and stick them on your walls...because as I always say, there is nothing more motivating than a constant 'visual reminder' Inshaa Allah.
Here are a few quotes that have inspired me over the years. I am sharing them in the hope that they would maybe inspire others as well Inshaa Allah:-
1) “It is possible to have an ecstatic birth...in fact it’s the best natural high that I know of. And these states of consciousness are best reached when a woman is fully aware and fully awake. Women don’t have a way to know how their body works until they really try it out in birth. I think that women can be just completely surprised by the change in them from giving birth – you have something powerful in you - that fierce thing comes up and I think babies need mothers to have that fierceness- you feel like you can do anything” (by Ina May Gaskin – world renowned midwife)
2) "For some patience is a gift, for others patience is a task, but as a mother, Patience is a MUST!" (by Sana Azizah Muhammad, bint Naushad Ali)
3) "To me a super mom is someone who recognizes her shortcomings and asks for forgiveness of her children without the guilt trip. She is someone who tries a little harder each day to have more patience than the day before. She is someone who strives to end each day, no matter how hectic or chaotic, with a goodnight kiss and an 'I love you' that is heartfelt. With this definition, we can all be super moms!"
(by Kim Wierman: freelance writer, widow and mother of three sons)
4) "You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him..." (James D. Miles)
5) "People who live in a house full of children and people who live in a house without any children feel sorry for one another" (Annonymous)
6) "Remember, when the world pushes you to your knees, you're in the perfect position to pray." (Annonymous, not sure who said this)
7) "Scars remind us of where we've been... But it does not have to dictate where we are going..." (Annonymous, not sure who said this)
8) Shoot for the moon! Even if you miss it, you will land among the stars..."
(by, Les Brown)
9) "Downgrading your lifestyle is far better than taking a loan to lead a lifestyle you cannot afford." (Mufti Menk)
10) "Children have never been very good at listening to their elders, but they have never failed to imitate them." (James Baldwin)
11) Let academic success be the tool by which you improve or add to your life and/or state... DO NOT let it be the gage by which you judge yourself as a person...
All it takes in life sometimes is a unique idea, determination, confidence and above all, faith in God. Try your best, do your best and be your best and dig deep for that feeling of 'self-worth' because it is in the end, the key to happiness inshaa Allah... (Sana Azizah Muhammad, bint Naushad Ali)
